The BLS HeartCode is the AHA’s blended learning delivery method that provides quality resuscitation education regardless of where providers are located and gives you more control to complete the online modules at your own pace. First, providers must complete the online portion of the BLS Heartcode and then complete a hands-on skills session with an AHA BLS Instructor to receive certification. This course has been updated to contain the current 2020 AHA Guidelines for CPR and ECG.
The online course can take up to 1.5 - 2 hours to complete. Hands-on skill competencies can take 1 - 2 hours to complete, based on the experience of the student.
Access to the BLS Provider Manual eBook is included with the BLS Heartcode. You will be able to access the Provider Manual within the course.
E-cards assigned after successful completion of the online course and skills session is considered valid/in-date for 2 years.
